The project „Ammonia as carbon free fuel for internal combustion engine driven agricultural vehicle” was launched on 1 October 2020.

The ACTIVATE project received funding under the POLNOR 2019 competition announced by the National Centre for Research and Development in the frame of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The aim of the ACTIVATE project is to develop a new technology of direct ammonia injection, which is to help improve the performance of the NH3 engine used in the agricultural industry.
The project will be implemented from 1.10.2020 to 1.10.2023 by the Industrial and Scientific Consortium represented by:

• Silesian University of Technology – Project Promoter
• Norwegian University of Science and Technology – Norwegian Leader
• University of Agriculture in Krakow – Scientific Partner
• LOGE Polska Sp. z o.o. – Industrial Partner

The total cost of the project is 6 584 204,22 PLN. The ACTIVATE project benefits from a 6 334 748,18 PLN grant from Norway and 950 212,23 PLN grant from the Polish State Budget.
The project will be implemented following the contract No. NOR/POLNOR/ACTIVATE/0046/2019-00.
